Kelly A. Prichett
Of Counsel

Kelly A. Prichett is Of Counsel to Wade Law Offices, advising clients throughout the Bay Area on trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and related estate-planning matters. She is particularly attentive to precision and clarity in complex documents, reviewing existing estate plans to identify ambiguities, gaps, and outdated provisions and developing well-organized plans tailored to clients’ legal, financial, and family circumstances.
Her approach draws on an unusually broad professional background that combines legal practice with more than a decade of legal publishing and editing, including many years as a legal editor with LexisNexis/Matthew Bender and later work as an independent editor and publishing consultant. She managed complex legal publications from manuscript development through production, including Insurance Law for Common Interest Communities, an independently produced legal treatise that was subsequently acquired and reissued by the American Bar Association. Her earlier experience teaching graduate-level linguistics and English writing also informs her practice: she learned to break down complex material, identify what is essential, and make it understandable to the person receiving it—skills she now brings to both estate-planning documents and client communications. Ms. Prichett holds a J.D. from The George Washington University National Law Center and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is a member of the State Bar of California.
Ms. Prichett’s commitment to community service stretches to when she lived in Beijing, PRC for three years as a volunteer teacher of graduate students. Her decades of community involvement have since included service on the Board of Trustees of NAMI San Francisco (2023–2025) and as a NAMI Family-to-Family Instructor and Certified Leader (2021–2023), volunteer work with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, and many years volunteering in her children’s schools when they were young. Ms. Prichett is the mother of two adult sons. She speaks French, thanks in no small part to her Francophone husband, and retains a bit of Mandarin from her years in Beijing. She enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
